Update!
June 30, 2009
We had an absolutely incredible first day. Amazing. Our team from Highview preached to over 3,000 people in one day with most of the Filipinos indicating they put their trust in Christ. Amazing. Every person in our group did a great job and we are all learning how to more effectively share the good news. The group going to the orphanage will leave Friday. Those not going will have a fun weekend here in Laoago City. You should be proud of your person on this trip. Many are going far outside their comfort zone and are growing tremendously in their ability to understand and communicate the gospel.

We heard your mission trip during the service in East campus the other Sunday when we were there.I just had a coversation with Lyn Ezell by phone a while ago about your mission in Laoag City. I’m a pastor here in Philadelphia, PA, but originally from that region (northern Luzon) in Philippines – Lingayen, Pangasinan. I can speak their local dialect there too: “ilocano”. Thank you for sharing the gospel to our people there. I was saved in a church started by an american missionary, same church that I pastor when I was in the Philippines. I look forward to meet you someday when we visit again your church in East campus.
